Civil Rights Corps, an innovative non-profit civil rights organization, immediately seeks a professional, dependable, and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student for a communications internship with our Washington, DC-based team. Civil Rights Corps (CRC) brings innovative litigation and high-impact advocacy across the nation to challenge systemic injustice in our criminal legal system. Through lawsuits challenging wealth-based detention, debtors’ prisons, driver’s license suspensions and private probation schemes, Civil Rights Corps is working to end the criminalization of poverty in America.
About the Role
The Communications Department is new and growing with this dynamic organization. The role of the communications intern is to support the Communications team in day-to-day tasks in the press shop, from special projects to graphics to digital communications. The ideal candidate will be interested in legal system reform and a self-starter who is a team player. The candidate should also demonstrate a desire for a career in communications, through coursework, volunteerism, and/or other internship experiences.
Salary is $15 per hour. Transit benefits are also available at no cost to the intern.
